José Antonio Parra
CEO / Executive Director
Mr. Parra is an aeronautical engineer and additionally holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa (Madrid). Mr Parra was General Executive for Carrefour Group and CEO of the Sotogrande International School before arriving at Sage College. He is the Chairman of the Executive Committee.

Francisco Soto
Director of Education
Mr. Soto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, as well as two Master’s Degrees, in Advanced Chemistry and in Education, respectively. He worked for University of Cádiz as a researcher and professor, in the area of Environmental and Analytical Toxicology. He participated in different congresses and completed publications in different international journals in the areas of environmental sciences and education.
Mr. Soto joined Sage College in Spain in 2016. He was an IGCSE and A level Chemistry and Physics teacher, as well as the Head of High School, Careers and Examinations Officer. Now, Mr. Soto is the Head of Education at Sage College and ISCS to continue supporting the organisation and growth of both schools.
Mr. Soto is passionate about swimming and football in his free time, as well as reading and going to the cinema.

Ryan Hopton
Head of High School
Mr Hopton holds a Degree in Law and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Secondary Citizenship with Social Sciences Education. Mr Hopton is a very experienced teacher and expert in curriculum mapping, assessment and delivery of IGCSE and A-Level Humanities frameworks.

Bonnie Pike
Head of Middle School
Originally from Bristol in the UK, Ms Pike earned her degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Plymouth, specialising in Physics and the teaching of Mathematics in mixed ability groups. Ms Pike joined the School Group in 2016 at our sister school, Sage College, where she taught in both Primary and Secondary, including IGCSE and A Level Mathematics and A Level Physics . Ms Pike worked as the Head of Mathematics at Sage College for two years and continues this role in the ISCS team in addition to being the Head of Middle School.

Bethany McMillan
Head of Primary
Ms. Macmillan was awarded a BSc in Psychology where she chose to focus her research on child development and cognition. Due to her enjoyment of working with children during her research, she went on to complete her PGCE in Sheffield, England, where she studied Primary teaching and school Leadership, qualifying with “Outstanding”.
Since qualifying, Ms. Macmillan has had the pleasure of teaching all Year groups in Primary and so has a strong overview of the British Curriculum at each stage. She has taught within UK mainstream and Special Educational Needs Schools and at the International School of Como in Italy.
Ms. Macmillan is currently studying part time for a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities with the University of Birmingham where she is focussing her research on supporting the needs of all individual children within the classroom.

David Alvarez del Pino
Head of Innovation and Technology
Mr. Alvarez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and has a Master’s in Team Management complemented by a Master’s in Business Administration. He has worked at different International Schools, leading the design, implementation and data structuring of Inbound Marketing. He also has broad theoretical and practical experience in back office, network and systems.

Bonnie Pike
Head of Middle School
Originally from Bristol in the UK, Bonnie earned her degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Plymouth, specialising in Physics and the teaching of Mathematics in mixed ability groups. Whilst in the UK, Bonnie worked for three consecutive years as the Welfare Officer of a large international summer school in Cambridge, which gave her the opportunity to work with staff and students from all over the world. Bonnie joined the School Group in 2016 in our sister school, Sage College, where she taught in both Primary and Secondary, including IGCSE and A Level Mathematics and A Level Physics . Bonnie worked as the Head of Mathematics at Sage College for two years and continues this role remotely, whilst also transitioning into the ISCS team as Head of Mathematics.

Lila Predouli
Year 13 Tutor / Secondary Sciences
Ms. Predouli holds a BA in Geology and Geo-environmental Sciences from the University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences & Palaeontology from the ETH and University of Vienna. She has experience teaching both IGCSE, A-Level and IB Programmes.

Jonathan Turner
Year 11 Tutor / English Teacher
Mr. Turner has 30 years’ experience in education in the UK, Spain, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, China and Switzerland. He has worked in schools, universities, educational publishing, centre management and teacher training. He has two Masters degrees in education related fields and a BA in English Literature. Mr. Turner has published articles on vocabulary learning, educational technology and learner centred learning and has written coursebooks for use in Chinese schools and Latin American universities. He enjoys learning languages and has varying levels of proficiency in Spanish, German, Portuguese, French and Arabic. Mr. Turner is married with two teenage boys and spends his free time collecting vinyl records and travelling.

Mark Evison
Year 10 Tutor / Secondary Sciences
Mr. Evison holds a BSc Honors in Physics from the University of Nottingham; he was additionally awarded a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education in Science and Qualified Teacher Status by the University of Portsmouth. Mr Evison has experience teaching in the UK and in international schools in Switzerland.

Robin Nayman
Year 9 Tutor / German & French Teacher
Rob Nayman is originally from London, UK and has been a teacher and Head of Languages for over 20 years, most recently for 10 years in Shropshire, UK and, before that, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Rob’s specialisms are German and French which he has taught to all age groups. Robin’s approach to teaching is to make the lessons engaging and as fun and relevant as possible. Robin is married to Kat who also teaches at ISCS and has three children who are all bi-lingual in German and English and who are also all at ISCS!

Nikita MCCoubrey
Year 8 Tutor / English Teacher
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Nikita earned her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University Belfast specialising in English Literature, before completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Education in English and Drama. She completed her NQT year on the Isle of Man, before obtaining her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from The Open University, which encouraged her to move into international teaching in Moscow and Prague. While there, she worked as an English and Drama teacher and pastorally as head of year eight, introducing debate societies and creative writing clubs to her students and working primarily with KS3 and KS4 students.

Vasyl Perliyev
Physical Education
Mr. Perliyev holds a BA and MA in both Physical Education and English as an Additional Language. Originally from Ukraine, Mr Perliyev enters his ‘Lucky 13” year at ISCS to prove how much he enjoys teaching here. He brings years of experience teaching in international schools in both Kyiv and Trieste before arriving at ISCS.

Ulrike Sauer
German / Business Teacher / Y12 Tutor
Originally from Germany, Ulrike has been teaching German and Business in the USA and Luxembourg. She earned her Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Nuremberg in Germany and in School Administration from St. Vincent College in the USA. She is experienced with all age groups, IGCSE, International Baccalaureate, and SAT Subject Tests. Ulrike’s three children attend universities all over the world and have made many places their home including Australia, Singapore, Germany, USA, and Ecuador. Ulrike’s little pup was born on May 4 so he is named after a Star Wars species.

Jean Eid
Maths Teacher
Originally from Lebanon, Mr Eid has obtained a BS in Mathematics (Hons) and teaching qualifications from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. He began his teaching career in Beirut, then moved to Budapest where he obtained an MA in Mathematical Logic and Philosophy of Science
(High distinction) from ELTE university, and taught math and philosophy in the IB program. He then joined ISCS and is currently teaching mathematics for secondary students.
Mr Eid believes that ” Mathematics is often seen as a lifeless and difficult subject. I take it as a personal challenge to innovatively present the seemingly dry mathematical concepts in their true attractive and exciting essence”

Francisco Santos
Year 7 Tutor / Art
Mr Santos holds a BA (Hons) in History of Art and Architecture from Middlesex University, London, as well as vocational training in Product Design. He has experience in the creative industry, has exhibited widely, and been involved in the design and development of award winning products.
Mr Santos was awarded his QTS from the Institute of Education and has taught extensively in London secondary schools.
His understanding of Art and Design is multidisciplinary, collaborative and multilayered. Above all, he loves being involved in the teaching and learning of knowledge and skills that help students develop their own visual language.

Isabel Ruiz
Spanish Teacher
Originally from Seville Spain. Ms. Ruiz holds a BA in Spanish Education with several training and specific courses including a specialist ELE (Spanish for foreigners) she have nearly 20 years of teaching experience in the Spanish educational system.

Bethany MacMillan
Head of Primary & Year 5 Tutor
Ms. Macmillan was awarded a BSc in Psychology where she chose to focus her research on child development and cognition. Due to her enjoyment of working with children during her research, she went on to complete her PGCE in Sheffield, England, where she studied Primary teaching and school Leadership, qualifying with “Outstanding”.

Kathleen Dempsey
Early Years Tutor
Kathleen holds a BAHons in German and Spanish from Newcastle University. As part of her degree she spent time studying at University in both Spain and Germany. She later went on to study for her teaching qualification with a French Specialism and so has significant experience in supporting children with language learning.

Bonita Trigg
Year 1 & Year 2 Tutor
With experience in the UK, UAE and France, Ms Trigg has taught various curriculums and worked with students from diverse nationalities. Miss Trigg is particularly interested in the teaching of multilingual children, utilising her in-depth knowledge of their additional language needs in the classroom.
She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Primary from the University of Sunderland in England. She has also achieved a TEFL Certification (Distinction) from The TEFL Academy, demonstrating her proficiency in teaching English as a foreign language. Additionally, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) degree in Theatre & Performance Studies from the University of Warwick, showcasing her passion for the arts.

Abbie Correa
Year 3 & Year 4 Tutor
Miss Wilson pursued her academic journey at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where she obtained a Primary Education BA degree and an MA in Primary Education.
Having taught in Scotland, Miss Correa has gained valuable experience and developed a deep understanding of Education in the Primary Years, particularly in Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4). Known for her innovative and nurturing approach, Miss Wilson places great value on building strong relationships with her students, parents, and colleagues, recognising the pivotal role of these connections in fostering achievement, well-being, and a sense of belonging in the classroom. As a trauma-informed practitioner, she understands the significance of addressing students’ emotional well-being in their academic success.

Aiden McVey
Year 6 Tutor
Aiden McVey is a seasoned educator with 8 years of versatile teaching. Holding a PGCE from the University of Manchester and QTS certifications from both the UK and Australia, Aiden’s mission centers on crafting a stimulating and fun classroom tailored to young minds. With a rich background in instructing EAL to diverse age groups in South Korea and hands-on experience owning a business, Aiden brings a dynamic approach to the classroom.

Kat Nayman
Primary German
Kat Nayman is originally from Germany. After moving to England, she studied English literature and French at Kingston University. Afterwards she completed her teaching degree and taught German and French at several schools in England. In 2010 she moved for three years to Indonesia where she not only enjoyed the travelling but also taught at the British International School of Jakarta. Whilst in Indonesia, Kat completed her MA in English education.
After moving back to England, she looked after her three children before continuing with her teaching career.The move to Switzerland has been an exciting opportunity to not only teach German in a German speaking environment but also to discover the sporting and cultural activities and the amazing scenery that Switzerland has got to offer.In her free time, Kat Nayman enjoys travelling, reading, swimming, cycling and spending time with her family (her three children are also at ISCS).

Ann-Joaleen Lehmeier
Primary German
Miss Lehmeier is an experienced and dedicated teacher who holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Unisa in Cape Town, South Africa. With teaching experience in Switzerland and Cyprus, Miss Lehmeier brings a global perspective to her classroom. She speaks German and English fluently as both are her mother tongue languages.
Having received training in Child Psychology and ADHD, Miss Lehmeier possesses a deep understanding of the psychological needs of children. This expertise allows her to provide tailored support and guidance to students with diverse learning requirements.
Ms. Lehmeier specialises in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), focusing on the vital developmental years of young learners. She creates a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth. Her specialisation enables her to design and implement age-appropriate curriculum and teaching strategies that cater to the unique needs of her students.
- SUPPORT STAFF -

Adel Ranger
Admissions
Mrs Ranger holds a BA in Primary and Special Needs Education. She gained over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of settings such as teaching the British curriculum, special needs and Montessori education as well as providing holistic therapy for motor-disabled children.
In 2014 Mrs Ranger founded and led her own bilingual Montessori nursery in Oberägeri in Canton Zug. She has broad experience in school-, team leadership and management, now she is going to support ISCS as Admission Officer.
Adel is fluent in English, German and Hungarian, currently learning Spanish. She grew up and studied in Hungary, moved to Switzerland in 2017 and became Swiss citizen.

Johana Sánchez
SENCo
Ms. Saenz was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance from the University of Houston- Clear Lake (UHCL). In addition to being a certified primary teacher, she holds a M.Ed in School Counselling from St Thomas University. She has extensive experience in project management, school counselling, teaching and holistic coaching.

Maria Jose Jimenez
Finance
Ms Jimenez, born and raised in Switzerland, completed her education in her home country before embarking on an international journey. Holding a degree in Business Administration, she boasts extensive experience in the financial field, cultivated through significant roles at renowned institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Lion Capital, and Oakhill Advisors.
In her private time, Ms Jimenez also dedicates herself as a teacher of Geraeteturnen (a form of Gymnastics) at the TV Neuheim. Proficient in Spanish, German, English, and Italian, she seamlessly bridges diverse cultures, enriching ISCS’s global perspective.

Anna Thanner
Receptionist
Anna, originally from Sweden, holds a degree as a Laboratory Engineer in Biochemistry from Vårdhögskolan Stockholm and a Master of Science in Pharmacology from King’s College London. In addition she studied Pharmacology at Karolinska Institutet Stockholm.
Her diverse interests led her to also study literature and history at the University of Stockholm. After a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and a family-focused hiatus in England, Spain and Switzerland, Anna felt a strong desire to work with children.
She began as an English teacher in a Montessori Kindergarten and later transitioned to a nanny role. Her deep passion for children led her to her current role at ISCS, where she thrives in a daily environment filled with young minds and their activities.

Ciarla Irena
Maintenance and Cleaning
Ms. Irena joining us from Italy, Irena takes care to ensure ISCS is a pleasant and clean learning environment for our students.
Irena kommt ebenfalls aus Italien und sorgt dafür, dass ISCS eine angenehme und saubere Lernumgebung für unsere Schüler ist.

Michele Simeone
Maintenance and Care
Mr Simeone is from a town near Naples, Italy. He is our caretaker and is always ready to support the needs of our school, staff, and students. We are very fortunate in having him amongst us.
Michele kommt aus einer Stadt in der Nähe von Neapel, Italien. Er ist unser Hausmeister und immer bereit, die Bedürfnisse unserer Schule, Mitarbeiter und Schüler zu unterstützen. Wir haben das große Glück, ihn unter uns zu haben.
