Year 10 Tutor, Music and Drama Teacher

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, Philosophy and Music from University College Dublin. In addition, he holds a Grade 8 in classical guitar from Trinity College London, a Diploma in Songwriting from BIMM Dublin and a PG Certification in Teaching and Learning from BIMM Brighton. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI.org). Since graduating from University College Dublin in 2010, Matthew has trained with some of Ireland´s renowned guitarists, Eamonn Sweeney in particular, but also with Redmond O’Toole and John Feeley.

Matthew has worked as a guitar teacher, a sound engineer, and a secondary school music and English teacher. Most recently, Matthew was the head of the English department in Hull’s School Zurich, having worked there from 2020 until 2025. In addition to teaching, Matthew enjoys recording and performing music, particularly as a guitar player and a singer.
