Madame Steenkamp is both a British and an Italian national, although she grew up in France, close to the Swiss bordering city of Basel. She is a native English, Italian and French speaker, is fluent in German, and is currently learning Afrikaans. Having earned her degree in Early Childhood studies and Education studies and her PGCE in MFL Secondary and Primary at Canterbury Christ Church University (UK), Madame Steenkamp has had the pleasure to work alongside and teach across a range of ages, from infants to teenagers in both the UK and Switzerland. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, friends and family, travelling, and engaging in performing arts (singing, dancing and musical theatre).
